Brief description：
This type of galvanized pipe usually uses Q235A grade steel as material, and is classified into round welded pipe and shaped (e.g. square, flat, etc.) welded pipe due to the shape of its end. The coating of galvanized pipe steel is mainly to prevent oxidation of the steel pipe and increase its service life, as well as being able to protect the internal fluids from contamination. In practice, galvanised pipes are widely used in a variety of applications that require the conveyance of fluids due to their excellent anti-corrosion properties and low maintenance costs.
Process FlowSteps
Pre-plating treatment process: this stage includes alkali washing, acid washing, rinsing, dipping aid, drying and other steps. Firstly, the steel pipe is alkali washed to remove the oil on the surface; next, it is acid washed using hydrochloric acid to remove the oxide skin on the surface of the steel pipe; then rinsing is carried out to remove the residual acid and iron salts; flux is used to remove all the impurities from the surface of the steel pipe to ensure that the steel pipe is cleanly in contact with zinc liquid to form a good plating layer; lastly, the flux-coated steel pipe is dried to prevent the pipe from discharging when it is submerged into the zinc pot.

Hot dip galvanising process: At this stage, the steel pipes are immersed in a zinc solution pre-heated to 450±5°C. The tubes are then dipped into the zinc solution. The drying-treated steel pipes are removed one by one through the drying furnace chain and then dipped into the zinc solution to form the coating.
Post-plating treatment process: This includes steps such as external blowing, internal blowing, water cooling, inspection, passivation and printing. External and internal blowing are used to remove the excess zinc liquid on the surface and inside of the galvanized rectangular pipe to obtain a smooth internal and external surface. The temperature of the water cooling tank is controlled at 80°C and the cooling water is recycled. The inspection session checks the integrity of the plating, while the passivation treatment passivates the surface of the tube to increase corrosion resistance. Finally, printing and packaging is carried out to complete the process.
APPLICATIONS
Automotive manufacturing: Due to its good plasticity and weldability, SAE1008 galvanized square steel pipe is ideally suited for the fabrication of a wide range of structural components and parts in automotive manufacturing.
Mechanical Manufacturing: Due to its moderate strength and good workability, SAE1008 galvanised pipe is also suitable for use in the manufacture of a variety of mechanical equipment, including, but not limited to, the production of a variety of mechanical parts and components.
