Hot Dip Galvanized Steel Coil Z180

Hot dip galvanized steel coil Z180 is a high-end metal material processed by hot-dip plating. Its zinc layer weight reaches 180g/m². It has strong anti-corrosion performance and mechanical strength. It is widely used in construction, automobile manufacturing, home appliances, power facilities and industrial equipment.

As the "protective armor" in modern industry, the Z180 model has become a popular choice in the purchase list of domestic and foreign customers due to its balanced cost-effectiveness and long life characteristics.

    Product Overview

Material and coating: Z180 means the weight of double-sided zinc layer is 180g/m², which is a hot-dip galvanized sheet with medium zinc layer thickness. Common materials include DX51D+Z (standard structural steel) and SGCC (Japanese standard galvanized sheet).

    Thickness 0.3mm to 3.0mm.
    Width 600mm-1500mm.
Surface treatment                                         conventional zinc spangle/no zinc spangle (customizable).

    Super corrosion resistance

The zinc layer is dense and uniform, effectively isolating water vapor, acid and alkali media, and extending the life of the substrate to more than 20 years.

    Environmental and economy

100% recyclable, reducing the company's carbon footprint. The full life cycle cost is 40% lower than ordinary steel, reducing the subsequent maintenance investment.

    Production Process

    Hot Dip Galvanized Steel Coil
Alkaline degreasing: Use alkaline solution to remove oil and impurities on the surface of the steel coil to ensure the cleanliness of the base material.

Hydrochloric acid pickling: Use a hydrochloric acid solution with a concentration of 15%-20% to dissolve the oxide scale and rust. After pickling, rinse twice to remove the residual acid.

Plating treatment: Immerse in zinc ammonium chloride solution to form an activated film, enhance the bonding strength of the zinc liquid and the steel base, and prevent oxidation.
Drying: Dry for more than 150 seconds at 120-200℃ to avoid splashing of zinc liquid during subsequent zinc dipping.
Annealing process: Remove the residual oil film on the surface through oxidation-reduction treatment and form a pure iron surface to improve the adhesion of the coating.

Hot-dip galvanizing: The temperature of the zinc liquid is strictly controlled at 450±5℃, and the steel coil is dipped into the zinc pot through a spiral mechanism to ensure uniform adhesion of the zinc liquid. The zinc dipping time is adjusted according to the coating requirements.

Coating control‌: Adjust the thickness of the zinc layer, blow away the excess zinc liquid with compressed air in the external blowing ring, and ensure the smoothness of the inner wall of the tube by internal blowing.

Post-plating treatment: After plating, the steel coil enters the 80℃ water cooling tank for cooling and shaping, and the circulating water system is treated for energy saving.

    Quotation Questions ◢

    • Q.

What is the difference between Z180 and galvanized coil?

      A.

Z180 uses pure zinc layer for corrosion protection and is suitable for high humidity environment; galvanized coil (such as AZ150) contains 55% aluminum, which is more heat-resistant, but more difficult to weld.
