Surface treatment
The FA surface is allowed to have slight, local defects such as pitting, concave surface, scratches, etc. whose depth or height does not exceed half of the thickness tolerance of the steel plate, while the FB surface is allowed to have local defects that do not affect the formability, such as slight scratches, indentations, pitting, roller marks and color differences.
Mechanical properties
The mechanical properties of checker steel coil ST37 vary at different thicknesses.
When the thickness is less than 3mm, the tensile strength is 360-510MPa; when the thickness is greater than 3mm, the tensile strength is 340-470MPa. Yield strength ≥235MPa, elongation after fracture ≥17%, impact energy Akv (J) ≥27 (impact temperature +20℃).
These performance indicators show that checker steel ST37 has good strength and plasticity.
