China's market steel prices fell slightly in October?

Steel prices experienced a sharp rise at the end of September, reaching a short-term peak point in early October.

(A) Long steel, plate prices rose, long steel rose more than plate.

As of the end of October, CSPI long steel index was 103.10 points, up 5.33 points, or 5.45%; CSPI plate index was 96.78 points, up 1.03 points, or 1.08%. Compared with the same period of the previous year, CSPI long steel, plate index fell 8.06 points, 10.45 points, or 7.25%, 9.75%.

January - October, CSPI long steel index average value of 106.23 points, down 9.26 points, down 8.02%; plate index average value of 101.50 points, down 10.76 points, down 9.58%.

(B) the price of major steel varieties have risen significantly.

Cold rolled steel sheet, plate, hot rolled steel coil, rebar, galvanized steel sheet, high wire, angle steel and hot rolled seamless steel pipe price averages rose 452 yuan / ton, 436 yuan / ton, 407 yuan / ton, 365 yuan / ton, 305 yuan / ton, 294 yuan / ton, 255 yuan / ton, and 218 yuan / ton, respectively.

Northwest steel price index rose more, 11.35%; North China rose less, 10.09%; South Central, Northeast, Southwest, East China average than in September rose 11.10%, 10.65%, 10.62%, 10.47%.

North American market

In October, the U.S. Midwest steel mill steel prices were mostly stable, in addition to a significant decline in rebar, plate and hot-rolled strip coils decreased steadily, cold-rolled strip coils and hot-dipped galvanized sheet rose steadily, the rest of the varieties of prices were flat with September.

European market

Germany, Italy, France and Spain's manufacturing PMI were 42.4%, 49.4%, 43.9% and 50.5%. In addition to Italy's PMI rose, the rest of the country's manufacturing PMI fell. October, the German market price index of steel varieties to decline, plate, hot-rolled strip, cold-rolled strip, hot-dipped galvanized sheet had a significant decline in steel, steel bars, small steel, wire rod steady decline, steel sections steady rise.

Asian market

Japan's manufacturing PMI was 49.8%, up 0.7 percentage points; South Korea's manufacturing PMI was 51.9%, up 0.5 percentage points; India's manufacturing PMI was 57.5%, down 0.6 percentage points; China's manufacturing PMI was 50.1%, up 0.3 percentage points, and the level of manufacturing boom rebounded.
