CSPI weekly report on China Steel Price Index
- During the week, the China Steel Price Index (CSPI) stood at 90.85 points, a week-on-week drop of 0.05 points, or 0.05 per cent.
- It was down 1.86 points, or 2.01 per cent, from the end of last month.
- Down 22.05 points, or 19.53 per cent, from the end of last year.
- Year-on-year decline of 18.68 points, down 17.05 per cent.

The price index of long products was 95.90 points, up 0.48 points or 0.50 per cent week-on-week; down 0.52 points or 0.54 per cent from the end of last month.

Compared with the end of last year, it fell 20.21 points, or 17.41%; year-on-year decline of 15.24 points, or 13.71%.

Plate price index was 87.01 points, down 0.32 points or 0.37% week-on-week; down 2.72 points or 3.03% from the end of last month.

Compared with the end of last year, it dropped 24.79 points, or 22.17 per cent; year-on-year decline of 22.17 points, or 20.31 per cent.
Sub-regional perspective, the country's six major regions steel price index week-on-week there are up and down, of which the largest decline is the south-central region, the smallest decline is the southwest region, the largest increase is the northeastern region, the smallest increase is the eastern region.

In August, CRU international steel price index was 183.3 points, down 6.9 points, or 3.6%; down 35.4 points, or 16.2%, compared with the end of last year; a year-on-year decline of 24.4 points, or 11.7%. Among them, the CRU Long Products Price Index was 198.0 points, down 3.4 points, or 1.7 per cent; down 15.8 points, or 7.4 per cent, from the end of last year; and down 17.1 points, or 7.9 per cent, year-on-year.The CRU Plate Price Index was 176.1 points, down 8.6 points, or 4.7 per cent; and down 45.0 points, or 20.4 per cent, from the end of last year; Year-on-year decline of 28.1 points, down 13.8%.
