Overall inventory situation
In late May, 21 cities in 5 major varieties of steel social inventory of 10.61 million tons ring less than 520,000 tons, down 4.7%, the inventory continued to decline; 1.38 million tons less than in late April, down 11.5%; than the beginning of the year, an increase of 3.32 million tons, up 45.5%; than the same period a year ago, an increase of 300,000 tons, an increase of 2.9%.
In late May, divided into regions, the seven major regional inventories are down to varying degrees.
Specifically: Southwest and East China inventories were reduced by 100,000 tons, the largest reduction in the region, down 7.2% and 3.2% respectively.
Northwest China decreased by 90,000 tons, down 10.7%, the largest drop in the region.
South China decreased by 90,000 tons, down 3.3%.
North China decreased by 80,000 tons, down 7.8%.
Northeast China decreased by 50,000 tons, down 6.7%.
Central China decreased by 10,000 tons, down 0.8%.

In late May, the 5 major varieties of steel social inventories fell in comparison with all, of which rebar is the largest reduction in the amount of varieties, plate for the largest drop in varieties, see the table below.

In late May, hot rolled coil inventory of 2.41 million tons, a decrease of 10,000 tons, down 0.4%, high inventory fluctuations. Than in late April, an increase of 50,000 tons, up 2.1%. An increase of 970,000 tons over the beginning of the year, up 67.4%; than the same period last year, an increase of 390,000 tons rose 19.3%.
In late May, cold rolled coil inventory of 1.34 million tons, a decrease of 30,000 tons, down 2.2%, inventory from rise to fall; than in late April, a decrease of 30,000 tons, down 2.2%; than the beginning of the year increased by 310,000 tons, an increase of 30.1%; than the same period a year ago increased by 150,000 tons rose 12.6%.
3. Medium plate
In late May, the plate inventory of 1.18 million tons, a decrease of 110,000 tons, down 8.5%, the rate of decline in inventory expansion; 170,000 tons less than in late April, down 12.6%; than the beginning of the year, an increase of 240,000 tons, up 25.5%; than the same period a year ago, an increase of 230,000 tons, up 24.2%.
4. Wire rod
In late May, wire rod inventory of 970,000 tons, a decrease of 20,000 tons, down 2.0%, inventory decline narrowed; than in late April, a decrease of 220,000 tons, down 18.5%; than the beginning of the year increased by 140,000 tons, an increase of 16.9%; compared with the same period a year ago, a decrease of 290,000 tons, down 23.0%.
5. Rebar
In late May, rebar inventory was 4.71 million tons, a decrease of 350,000 tons, down 6.9%, inventory continued to decline; than in late April, a decrease of 1.01 million tons, down 17.7%; than the beginning of the year, an increase of 1.66 million tons, an increase of 54.4%; than the same period a year ago, a decrease of 180,000 tons, a decrease of 3.7%.
