Overall inventory situation
In early April, the social inventory of five major steel varieties in 21 cities was 9.83 million tons, a decrease of 530,000 tons from the previous month, a decrease of 5.1%, and the inventory continued to decline; an increase of 3.24 million tons from the beginning of the year, an increase of 49.2%; a decrease of 3.25 million tons from the same period last year, a decrease of 24.8%.
In early April, by region, except for the Northeast region, the social steel inventory in the seven major regions decreased to varying degrees, with South China seeing the largest inventory reduction and North China seeing the largest decline.
Inventory overview by product
In early April, compared with the previous month, except for a slight increase in cold-rolled steel coils, the social inventory of the five major steel products decreased to varying degrees, among which rebar was the largest decrease and wire rod was the largest decrease; compared with the previous year, the social inventory of the five major steel products decreased to varying degrees.
