Overall inventory situation
In mid-September, 21 cities in 5 major varieties of steel social inventory of 8.12 million tonnes, a decrease of 720,000 tonnes, down 8.1%, the rate of decline in inventories expanded; than the beginning of the year, an increase of 830,000 tonnes, an increase of 11.4%; compared with the same period last year, a decrease of 1.19 million tonnes, a decline of 12.8%.
Seven major regional steel inventories are down to varying degrees, the specific situation is as follows.
East China and North China inventories were reduced by 200,000 tonnes, the largest area of reduction, down 9.1% and 21.1%, North China is the largest area of decline;
South China decreased by 10,000 tonnes, down 0.4%; Central China decreased by 110,000 tonnes, down 9.6%; Southwest China decreased by 70,000 tonnes, down 6.0%; Northwest China decreased by 60,000 tonnes, down 10.5%; Northeast China decreased by 70,000 tonnes, down 12.1%.
In mid-September, 5 varieties of steel social inventory in addition to wire rod flat, other varieties have different degrees of decline. Among them, rebar is still the largest varieties of reduction and decline.
Wire rod
In mid-September, wire rod inventory of 750,000 tonnes, flat; 80,000 tonnes less than at the beginning of the year, down 9.6%; 150,000 tonnes less than the same period last year, down 16.7%.
Rebar steel
In mid-September, rebar inventory 2.69 million tonnes, down 550,000 tonnes, down 17.0%, inventory continued to fall sharply: 360,000 tonnes less than at the beginning of the year, down 11.8%; compared with the same period a year earlier, down 1.44 million tonnes, down 34.9%.

In mid-September, the medium-thick plate inventory 1.13 million tonnes, down 30,000 tonnes from the previous year, down 2.6%, a slight decline in inventories; than the beginning of the year, an increase of 190,000 tonnes, up 20.2%; than the same period last year, an increase of 50,000 tonnes, up 4.6%.
