1022 high quality carbon structural steel is a high manganese and low carbon penetration steel with a carbon content between 0.18% and 0.23%, which is a medium carbon steel.

The main chemical composition of the 1022 carbon steel wire rod coils: carbon (C) 0.18% -0.23%, silicon (Si) 0.17%-0.37%, manganese (Mn) 0.70%-1.00%, sulfur (S) 0.050%, phosphorus (P) 0.040%, chromium (Cr) 0.25%, nickel (Ni) 0.25%, copper (Cu) 0.25%.
The heat treatment specification of hot rolled steel wire includes normalising, annealing and high temperature tempering, etc. Different heat treatment methods can be selected according to different applications and requirements.
