Hot rolled steel coil SPHT 1 has specific chemical composition and mechanical properties for a wide range of industrial applications, especially common in the production of welded steel pipes.

The chemical composition of SPHT1 hot rolled coil includes carbon (C), silicon (Si), manganese (Mn), phosphorus (P) and sulphur (S), the contents of which are subject to strict limits respectively.

For example, the content of carbon does not exceed 0.10 per cent, the content of silicon and manganese does not exceed 0.35 percent and 0.50 percent respectively, while the content of phosphorus and sulphur does not exceed 0.035 percent respectively.

These compositions ensure that SPHT1 hot rolled coil steel has good mechanical properties.

The mechanical properties of SPHT1 hot rolled steel coils include tensile strength and elongation at break.

The tensile strength is at least 270 MPa and the elongation at break is at least 30%. These properties make SPHT1 steel plate less likely to break when subjected to tensile forces, while still retaining a certain degree of plasticity after breaking, making it suitable for applications that require high strength and toughness.

Preparation of raw materials: The production of hot rolled steel Plate is usually based on continuous cast billets.

Heating: The continuous cast billet is fed into a heating furnace for heating, the purpose of which is to soften the steel and make it easier to deform plastically.

Roughing and finishing: The heated continuous casting billet enters the roughing and finishing units for rolling.

Cooling and coiling: The hot strip from the finishing mill is cooled to a set temperature by a laminar flow cooling system and then coiled into strip coils by a coiling machine.

Finishing operations: The cooled steel strip coils go through a series of finishing lines, including levelling, straightening, cross-cutting or longitudinal cutting, inspection, weighing, packaging and marking, etc., and finally become finished steel plates or steel strip products.
