The inventory increased slightly after seven consecutive decades of decline; it was 260,000 tons less than in late November 2023. Areas with the largest increase and increase

Rebar is the variety with the largest increase and increase
In late December 2023, the social inventory of long products of the five major types of steel continued to increase month-on-month, while plate inventory continued to decline, with rebar being the largest increase and increase.
Hot rolled steel coil inventory is 1.44 million tons, a month-on-month decrease of 20,000 tons, a decrease of 1.4%. The inventory continues to decline, and the decline narrows; a decrease of 260,000 tons, or 15.3%, compared with late November 2023; a decrease of 130,000 tons compared with the beginning of 2023 , down 8.3%.
Cold rolled steel coil inventory is 1.03 million tons, a month-on-month decrease of 10,000 tons, a decrease of 1.0%. The inventory has continued to decline slightly; a decrease of 30,000 tons, a decrease of 2.8% from late November 2023; a decrease of 100,000 tons, a decrease of 8.8% from the beginning of 2023.
The inventory of medium and heavy plates is 940,000 tons, a decrease of 20,000 tons or 2.1% month-on-month. The inventory continues to decline; it is a decrease of 110,000 tons or 10.5% compared with late November 2023; it is basically the same as the inventory at the beginning of 2023. Wire rod inventory is 830,000 tons, an increase of 30,000 tons or 3.8% month-on-month. The inventory continues to rise; an increase of 20,000 tons or 2.5% from late November 2023; an increase of 30,000 tons or 3.8% from the beginning of 2023. Rebar inventory is 3.05 million tons, an increase of 120,000 tons month-on-month, an increase of 4.1%, and the inventory increase has expanded; an increase of 120,000 tons, or 4.1%, compared with late November 2023; a decrease of 30,000 tons, or 1.0%, compared with the beginning of 2023 .
