Chemical composition
The chemical composition of SAE1006 steel wire rod consists mainly of carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulphur and iron.
Carbon (C): content between 0.06 per cent and 0.12 per cent.
Manganese (Mn): maximum content of 0.25%.
Phosphorus (P): maximum content of 0.040 per cent.
Sulphur (S): maximum content of 0.050%.
Iron (Fe): residual.
Process
The production process of steel wire rod Sae1006 mainly includes the following steps:
Iron slagging: Firstly, the iron slag is slagged to prepare for the subsequent smelting.
