Social inventories of steel in late February

In late February, five major varieties of steel social inventory in 21 cities was 13.67 million tonnes, an increase of 1.55 million tonnes, up 12.8%, inventories continue to rise, the magnitude of the decline; 5.01 million tonnes more than in late January, up 57.9%; 6.38 million tonnes more than at the beginning of this year, an increase of 87.5%; 90,000 tonnes more than the same period last year, an increase of 0.7%.

In late February, divided into regions, seven major regional inventories were continuously upward trend, as follows:

Central China inventory increased 430,000 tonnes, up 37.7%, for the largest increase in the increase, the largest region; South China increased 350,000 tonnes, up 13.0%; East China increased 240,000 tonnes, up 7.7%; Southwest China increased 180,000 tonnes, up 11.1%; Northwest China increased 150,000 tonnes, up 12.5%; North China increased 130,000 tonnes, up 8.2%; Northeast China increased 70,000 tonnes, up 9.2%. 150,000 tonnes, up 12.5%; North China increased 130,000 tonnes, up 8.2%; Northeast China increased 70,000 tonnes, up 9.2%.

Rebar is the largest variety of steel social inventory increase

In late February, five major varieties of steel social inventories have risen, of which rebar for the largest incremental varieties, and wire rod for the largest increase in varieties.

Hot rolled coil inventory was 2.33 million tonnes, an increase of 320,000 tonnes, up 15.9%, inventory continued to rise rapidly; then late January increased by 780,000 tonnes, up 50.3%; then the beginning of this year, an increase of 890,000 tonnes, up 61.8%; than the same period last year, an increase of 90,000 tonnes, up 4.0%.

Cold rolled coil stocks were 1.43 million tonnes, an increase of 20,000 tonnes, up 1.4%, inventory growth slowed down; an increase of 310,000 tonnes over late January, up 27.7%; an increase of 400,000 tonnes over the beginning of this year, up 38.8%; a decrease of 50,000 tonnes over the same period last year, down 3.4%.

Wire rod stocks stood at 1.73 million tonnes, an increase of 0.26 million tonnes, or 17.7%, over the same period last year, with stocks continuing to rise; 0.68 million tonnes, or 64.8%, over late January; 0.9 million tonnes, or 108.4%, over the beginning of this year; and 0.08 million tonnes, or 4.4%, less than the same period last year.

Medium and thick plate inventory was 1.37 million tonnes, an increase of 60,000 tonnes, up 4.6%, inventory continued to rise; then late January, an increase of 310,000 tonnes, up 29.2%; then the beginning of this year, an increase of 430,000 tonnes, up 45.7%; then the same period last year, an increase of 160,000 tonnes, up 13.2%.

Rebar inventory was 6.81 million tonnes, an increase of 890,000 tonnes, up 15.0%, the inventory continued to rise, the amplitude of the decline; 2.93 million tonnes more than late January, up 75.5%; than the beginning of this year, an increase of 3.76 million tonnes, an increase of 123.3%; than the same period last year, a decrease of 30,000 tonnes, down 0.4%.
