10 gauge steel plate is generally used as automotive parts,low carbon steel core component parts, the manufacture of parts requiring little force and high toughness.
Good plasticity, toughness, easy to form hot and cold processing, good cutting performance after normalising or cold working, excellent weldability.
Generally it can be used as a finished product for cold rolling, cold heading, cold bending, hot rolling and forging processes.
The chemical composition takes carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus and sulphur as the main elements.

No. 10 carbon steel sheet coil is mainly used in the production of a variety of high toughness, small load parts, such as chuck, steel pipe, gaskets, washers, friction plates, car body, dust paint, containers, deep-drawn vessels, enamelled products, cold heading bolts and nuts and a variety of smaller loaded welded parts.
In terms of mechanical properties, No. 10 mild carbon steel has a yield strength of ≥205 MPa, a tensile strength of ≥335 MPa, an elongation of ≥18 per cent and a necking rate of 55 per cent. In the cold working condition, the steel is easy to be extruded into properties, and its cutting properties can be improved by heat treatment or cold drawing treatment.
10 gauge steel is an excellent low carbon steel with good plasticity, toughness and welding properties to meet the manufacturing needs of various components. The quality of steel may vary from origin to origin.
