Profile Steel I Beam
Steel I Beam
I-beam is a kind of steel with "I"-shaped cross-section, the transverse plane shape of the I-beam, hence the name.
Compared with angles and H-beams of the same size, I-beams are lighter in weight and therefore easier to construct.
The cross-section shape and steel material of I beam steel determine its resistance to bending and twisting better than other common profiles.
The cross-section shape of steel I beam is easy to install due to its transverse buckling, so it can be directly welded and used.
I-beams are widely used in various building structures, bridge engineering, machinery manufacturing and other fields.
Common specifications
The specification type of I-beam is mainly determined by two parameters: height (H) and waist thickness (b). The following are common specification models of I-beams:
1. National standard model: H × B × t1 × t2
2. Simplified model: H (waist) × B (bottom) × C (belly) × t (waist thickness)
Among them, the conventional specifications of H-beam are H100, H120, H140, H160, H200, H250, H300, H350, H400, H450, etc. B-beam mainly has models such as B63, B76, B89, etc., and the specifications of C-beam are less.
